Great Lunch menu at newly opened Restaurant Scampi
Restaurant Scampi is newly opened at 40 N. Mentor Ave., next door to the Ice House.

A great lunch menu is featured and includes such specialities as half-roasted chicken with orange sauce, smoked salmon potato pancake with caramelized onions, sour cream and masago roe, also prime top sirloin roasted with veal stock reduction as well as soup of the day. Salads include ceasar with sautéed chicken over romaine leaves and more.

The dinner menu features seafood pasta, roasted duck breast with ginger orange sauce, deep fried catfish with ponzu sauce and vegetables on the side as well as a vegetarian dish which includes grilled vegetables with pasta and French feta cheese.

Save room for the special desserts which include strawberry crème brulée, poached pear with raspberry cream, or Grand-Marnier peach with expresso ice cream.

The menu was created by Chef Pedro Simental, who has a great passion for his work, which comes across in his dishes and sauces.

Chef Simental's menu is a cross between French and Japanese and his goal is customer satisfaction.

Restaurant Scampi is family-owned and features a contemporary atmosphere.
